If you are using Classes in the Myzone software, there are a couple of key software settings that pertain to an optimal class experience within the Myzone software – Belts in Range and Auto Show Tiles. The following article aims to answer the following questions that relate to your Myzone software during a class:
- What is the Belts in Range setting?
- What is the Auto Show Tiles setting?
- How do I hide a live tile on the screen?
- Why do live tiles from other members keep displaying on my TV screen that do not belong in my class?
- How can I manage what live tiles show on my TV screen during a class?
Belts in Range
This feature found in the Myzone software allows you to manage which member live tiles you wish to display on the screen at any given time. For example, if you are conducting a personal training session and wish to remove the live tile of the member who is working out on their own in the cardio room, you can remove the tile and only display the live tiles of your clients you wish. When you take a member off the screen, their workout data is still uploading to the Myzone cloud and should not disrupt the user's workout graph at the conclusion of their workout.
Step 1: Select Belts in Range from the main menu of the Myzone software.
Step 2: At this moment, every member that is in range of the Myzone receiver will display on the screen. Select the name of the member you want to remove. When selected, a red square will appear next to their name which indicates that their live tile is no longer on the in-club display.
Step 3: Show all (green square) or remove all (red square) live tiles on the screen with group select icons.
Belts in Range During Class Mode
When a Myzone class is loaded in the software, fitness staff will have the option to remove a live tile out of the class or include the member in class if they have joined late. This option is only enabled when the fitness staff member has loaded a class in the software first and is identified in Belts in Range as a green square with a computer screen.
When a member’s name displays the green square with a computer while in Belts in Range setting, this allows the member to remain in class mode and will be included in the class report at the end of the class. The member will also receive a class summary report at the conclusion of the class.
When a class is loaded onto the Myzone software, each live tile will display 3 options:
Red square: Removes live tile off the screen completely
Green square: live tile remains on the screen, but not part of the class
Green square with a computer: live tile remains on the screen and part of the class
Auto Show Tiles
When enabled in the Myzone settings, this feature allows live tiles to automatically display on the screen when member belts come into the range of the Myzone receiver. When this feature is turned ‘off’ in settings, members who come into the range of the Myzone receiver will not automatically show on the in-club display. Rather, a fitness staff member will have to check members onto the screen via the Belts in Range feature.
As an example, if you are looking to isolate a specific room in your facility and wish to only display live tiles of members taking that class, auto show tiles turned 'off' in the software will not automatically show tiles on the screen. This allows the instructor to monitor which tiles they wish to display on the screen while the non-class members remain off the screen.
Step 1: Access your main menu, then locate Settings. You will need to type in your administrative password to unlock the settings of your software. Select Tile Settings, then locate Auto Show Tiles.
Step 2: Auto Show Tiles ‘on’ will allow belts to automatically display on the TV screen when they come into the range of the Myzone receiver. The ‘on’ switch is identified by a green circle.
>> Auto Show Tiles ‘off ’ will isolate a room so that belts that come into the range of the Myzone receiver will not automatically display on the TV screen. Rather, a fitness staff member will need to use the Belts in Range feature to display member tiles on the screen. The ‘off’ switch is identified by a black circle.
