MZ-Chat allows you to directly message your friends or clients through the Myzone app. If you are a club staff member, MZ-Chat is a powerful tool that allows you to communicate directly with your members and provide feedback before or after workouts.
MZ-Chats can either be created in the Myzone app or from your admin portal (if you are a club staff member).
NOTE: Only staff members that have 'Owner' or 'Coach' permission have the option for MZ-chat from their admin portal.
In this article, the following information will be covered:

Sending a Connection Request
First, you must send a connection request before being able to send an MZ-Chat message. The easiest way to do this is in the Myzone app.
From the main menu, click on Connections.
Search online and type the user's name or e-mail address associated with their Myzone account. Once found, click on Connect which will send a connection request to that user. Once they accept, you will be able to begin an MZ-Chat message.
Sending a Message to One User
Once you are connected, find the user under your connections list. Click on the 3 dots next to their profile and select Send Message.
Creating a Group Chat
Go to MZ-Chat from the main menu in the Myzone app. Click on the '+' sign in the upper right-hand corner to create a new chat.
Select Create MZ-Chat Group, type in the name of your group chat, then click on the checkmark in the upper right-hand corner.
Use the search filter to find your group chat members. Select the profile to add them to the chat group. Once complete, click on the checkmark in the upper right-hand corner to create the chat.
How to Add Friends to a Group Chat
To add more friends to a group chat, open the MZ-Chat message and click on the icon in the upper right-hand corner of the message.
Pull the arrow on the right-hand side to access your connections list.
Scroll or search for your friends you wish to add to the group chat, then click the checkmark in the upper right-hand corner to add them.
NOTE: Only admins of the chat can add additional friends.
Managing Your MZ-Chat
Once you have created an MZ-Chat message, you have the option to update admins, edit the MZ-chat name, transfer ownership, or leave the group message completely.
Open the MZ-Chat message and click on the icon in the upper right-hand corner of the message.
Click on the 3 dots in the upper right-hand corner to open additional MZ-Chat options:
Update Admins allows you to update at any given time.
Edit MZ-Chat allows you to edit the name of the group chat.
Transfer Ownership allows you to assign someone else in the group chat as Admin for the long term.
A yellow star next to someone's profile indicates they are the Admin of the chat.
To leave a group chat, click on the icon. Doing so will remove you from the chat group and you will no longer receive notifications of chatter activity.
